Discord: Event Etiquette Reminder
Hey everyone,
So it's been a while since we've had main events, our holiday break was a long one this time around. There were a couple hiccups that we'd like to address as a reminder for those who also took a break during this time, those who are new, and those who are returning!
1: Please don't use ** or <> for your raid emotes. We rely on being able to quickly read them using the color of the text. Things can and will get missed if you do this. Normal typing is just fine and if you have an OOC comment you can just ask plainly as well.
2: Item Macros! If you have an item that interacts with the counter system (like allow you to reroll, or it blocks an attack), please have this on macro. We don't remember what ever item does and constant asks can slow us down. Something as simple as: ITEM allows me to REROLL a failed counter ONCE/TWICE/ECT per event/encounter.
3: Remember NOT to whisper the DM during the event. Generally the DM will have a helper who will be in DM den with them OR marked with a raid assist in the raid. This mostly applies in main events and not so much in side events.
4: Cleansing: Unless the DM says only certain types of cleansing works, just assume it can be magically cleansed by any class with the ability to do so. (Mage, priest, druid, shaman main examples) OR with items that allow you to cleanse.
5: Lastly, please, pay attention. If your name gets called for a counter and we have to keep waiting, it will effect how often you get interacted with in the future. If you have to AFK or BRB, please say so in general chat.
